What information we collect

FertilityCostGuide collects only the minimum information needed to provide our service:

• Email addresses — If you choose to sign up for updates, planning tips, and helpful resources related to fertility costs and financing, we collect your email address via Formspree. Providing your email is entirely optional. No account is required to use our calculators.
• Contact and calculator information — If you choose to unlock your full estimate on our IVF Cost Calculator, we collect your name and email address, and optionally your phone number, along with the calculator inputs you provided (such as state, age range, egg source, insurance coverage, and estimated cost range). If you also check the optional clinic contact consent checkbox, this information may be shared with fertility clinic partners as described below.
• Usage data via Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use GA4 to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 collects anonymized data including pages visited, time on page, general geographic location (country/region), and device type. We do not collect names, financial account numbers, or health records.
• Calculator inputs — Values you enter into our calculators (state, cycle count, insurance coverage, etc.) are processed in your browser. If you unlock your full estimate or check the clinic contact consent checkbox, your inputs are transmitted to Formspree and may be shared with fertility clinic partners as described in this policy.

How we use your information

• To send updates, planning tips, and resources — If you submit your email, we may use it to send updates, planning tips, and helpful resources related to fertility costs and financing via Formspree.
• To connect you with fertility clinic partners — If you check the optional clinic contact consent checkbox on our IVF Cost Calculator, we may share your name, contact information, and calculator inputs with fertility clinic partners. These partners may contact you by phone, text, or email about your estimate and treatment options. Checking this box is entirely optional and is not required to use our calculators or view your estimate. You may opt out at any time by contacting us at hello@fertilitycostguide.com.
• To improve the site — Aggregated, anonymized analytics data from GA4 helps us understand which calculators and features are most useful so we can improve them.
• Occasional updates — If you opt in by submitting your email, we may send infrequent updates about the site (new features, updated cost data). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email we send.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as described in this policy (fertility clinic partners when you provide consent, and service providers listed below).

Third-party services

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — We use GA4 for site analytics. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to collect anonymized usage data. You can opt out using Google's opt-out browser add-on. See Google's Privacy Policy for full details.
• Formspree — Email submissions are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. When you submit your email, it is transmitted to Formspree's servers. See Formspree's Privacy Policy for details on how they handle your data.
• Affiliate and financing partner links — Our site contains links to financing partners (Prosper Healthcare Lending, Egg Fund, and Future Family). When you click these links, you leave our site and are subject to those companies' own privacy policies. See the Affiliate Disclosure section below.
• Fertility clinic partners — If you check the clinic contact consent checkbox on the IVF Cost Calculator, your name, email, phone number (if provided), and calculator inputs may be shared with fertility clinic partners. These partners are independent companies that operate under their own privacy policies. We may receive compensation for these referrals. You are not required to consent to this sharing to use our site or view your estimate.

Affiliate disclosure

FertilityCostGuide participates in affiliate and referral programs with select financing partners. If you click a partner link and apply for financing, we may earn a referral fee from the lender. This fee is paid by the lender and does not increase your cost in any way.

Our affiliate relationships never influence our cost estimates, calculator methodology, or editorial content. All cost data is independently sourced from publicly available data. We disclose affiliate relationships in accordance with FTC guidelines.

Cookies

FertilityCostGuide uses cookies in limited circumstances:

• Google Analytics cookies — GA4 sets cookies (including _ga and _ga_[ID]) to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These cookies contain anonymized identifiers and do not contain personal information.

We do not set any first-party cookies ourselves. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or via Google's opt-out tools linked above.

Data retention

Email addresses submitted through our forms are stored by Formspree and retained per Formspree's data retention policy. We do not maintain a separate email database on our own servers. To request deletion of your submission, contact us at hello@fertilitycostguide.com.

Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months by default, after which it is automatically deleted from Google's servers.

Text messages

If you provide your phone number and check the clinic contact consent checkbox on our IVF Cost Calculator, you consent to be contacted by fertility clinic partners via text message (SMS) regarding your estimate and treatment options. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies by partner.

To stop receiving text messages from a clinic partner, reply STOP to any message they send. To opt out of having your phone number shared with clinic partners in the first place, do not check the clinic contact consent checkbox, or contact us at hello@fertilitycostguide.com to withdraw consent previously given. Consent to text messages is not required to use our calculators or view your estimate.

Children's privacy

FertilityCostGuide is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Fertility treatment is a topic intended for adults. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@fertilitycostguide.com and we will promptly delete it.

California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect and how it is used or shared; (2) request deletion of your personal information; and (3) opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@fertilitycostguide.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

When you check the clinic contact consent checkbox, your information may be shared with fertility clinic partners as described above. This constitutes sharing of personal information under CCPA. You may opt out of this sharing at any time by contacting us.
